Trees galore...

Yarn Christmas Trees

All you will for this craft, is a few basic materials, and an hour or so of your time,
oh! and the will to get your hands gooey and sticky!

Examples of trees...

Materials:
Yarn (color of your choosing)
Cones
2 bottles of Elmer's Glue
1 Tablespoons Cornstarch
4 Tablespoons water
Plastic Wrap
Different sheets of sturdy paper
Newspapers to cover your work area
a bowl to mix the ingredients with

1. Cover your workspace with the newspapers and pour both bottles of glue into the bowl.
2. Pour the 4 tablespoons of water in and mix the water and glue together.
3. Measure out and mix in cornstarch.
4. Combine the ingredients together.
5. Cut off a large length of yarn and soak it in the glue mixture.
6. Cover each cone with plastic wrap so that the glue-coated yarn won't stick to the cone.
7. Begin wrapping the yarn in a criss-cross fashion and pinch the yarn between your fingers
as you go to help the excess glue mixture.
8.Tuck the ends into the other strands of yarn when you have used up all the yarn.
9. Allow the trees to dry for at least 24 hours or until they no longer feel wet.
10. Remove the cones and then the plastic wrap.

If you like, you can glue on little pearls or glittery ornaments to add a little extra pop to
your trees-or whatever you would like to try.

Use whatever kind of punch you have and cut out all sorts of colors-you could even use scrapbook
paper as well for added patterns to complete your tree. Just roll up paper for a cone.
